Story
After moving into the peaceful River Oaks neighborhood, Craig becomes concerned for his family’s safety due to Brian’s enigmatic behavior. Craig’s paranoia leads him to look into Brian, and with the assistance of his friends Austin and Bianca, a hilarious chain of events transpires. Craig picks up insightful lessons about friendship, trust, and the surprising ways people can connect as the situation gets out of control. It turns out that Craig and Brian have a surprising friendship through all of their laughter and tension, proving that first impressions are not always accurate.
Plot Summary
With his family, Craig Waterman (Tim Robinson) leads a contented life in the peaceful River Oaks neighborhood. Up until Brian (Paul Rudd), the new neighbor next door with an interesting past, moves in, Craig is happy with his routine. Brian’s presence suddenly disturbs the peace Craig has always valued, setting off a series of tense and hilarious events as Craig begins to doubt Brian’s true intentions.
Craig enlists the aid of his close friends Bianca (Meredith Garretson) and Austin (Josh Segarra) as his suspicions about Brian intensify. A string of amusing miscommunications, rising tensions, and shocking discoveries result from their amateur detective work. Craig’s adolescent son Steven (Jack Dylan Grazer) and the eccentric Detective Belvedere (John Cenatiempo) contribute to the disorder through their respective antics and inquiries.
The movie looks at friendship, trust, and the extent people will go to in order to keep the people they care about safe. Craig and Brian develop an odd friendship in the middle of the chaos and humor, realizing that sometimes the best friendships come from the most unexpected places.
