Plot

Naomi Ackie plays Frida, a dedicated cocktail waitress in a busy metropolis. A mysterious tech billionaire named Ethan (Channing Tatum) sends her a once-in-a-lifetime invitation, and it turns her life around in an unexpected way. He extends an invitation to her and a few of his closest friends to spend a fantastic vacation on his private island. His business partner Jack (Christian Slater), fashion designer Maria (Adria Arjona), social media influencer Luke (Simon Rex), artist and activist Lena (Alia Shawkat), real estate mogul Richard (Kyle MacLachlan), and philanthropist Evelyn (Geena Davis) are among the guests.

With opulent amenities and breath-taking views, the island is a paradise. Frida, though, starts to notice odd and unsettling happenings as the days go by. The guests’ behavior becomes more unpredictable, things start moving on their own, and strange noises can be heard all night long.

Frida begins to lose her sense of reality when she learns that Ethan is hiding something. The distinction between the virtual and physical worlds is muddled thanks to his sophisticated virtual reality system. Unaware of it, the guests are taking part in a bizarre experiment designed to push the boundaries of human perception and control.

Frida has to make her way through the perilous landscape of deceit and treachery as paranoia grows. She learns the truth about Ethan’s experiment and its potentially harmful ramifications with Maria and Lena’s assistance. As a team, they come up with a scheme to get off the island and reveal Ethan’s sinister secrets to everyone.
