In a remarkable streak, the legal drama “Suits” has achieved its fourth consecutive week of impressive streaming ratings, setting a new record for acquired series and solidifying its position as a streaming favorite. With a strong presence on platforms like Netflix and Peacock, “Suits” is proving to be an unstoppable force in the world of streaming, garnering over 3 billion minutes of watch time each week.

The week of July 17-23 witnessed “Suits” shattering its own record yet again, amassing a staggering 3.88 billion minutes of viewing. This achievement marks the 13th highest total for any week in the past three-plus years. The series has been consistently outdoing itself, surpassing its previous week’s total of 3.67 billion minutes, which itself had eclipsed the preceding two weeks’ records. Nielsen, the renowned tracker of streaming show viewing since 2020, has been astounded by the show’s ever-growing popularity.

The success of “Suits” is a testament to its captivating storytelling and engaging characters that have resonated with audiences. The show’s availability on major streaming platforms has given viewers the opportunity to binge-watch and immerse themselves in the legal drama’s world.

In a close race for the streaming spotlight, “Bluey” on Disney+ and “Sweet Magnolias” on Netflix both achieved over 1.2 billion minutes of viewing for the same week. “Bluey” had a slight edge, with 1.219 billion minutes compared to “Sweet Magnolias”‘ 1.218 billion. Notably, “Bluey” drew a significant portion of its watch time from children aged 2-11, while the audience for “Sweet Magnolias” was predominantly composed of women.

Other notable entries in the streaming charts included the enduring success of “Jack Ryan,” which maintained its viewership even after the series finale on Amazon’s Prime Video, accumulating 700 million minutes of viewing. “The Summer I Turned Pretty” from Prime Video and “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” on Paramount+ also secured spots in the top 10 original series, with 493 million and 324 million minutes of viewing, respectively.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings provide a snapshot of TV-set viewing and do not account for minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. While the ratings exclusively cover U.S. audiences, it’s clear that “Suits” has captivated viewers across the country, making its mark as one of the most watched shows in the streaming landscape.

As the legal drama “Suits” continues to break records and capture the attention of viewers, its streaming success serves as a reminder of the power of engaging storytelling and the ever-expanding influence of the streaming platform in the world of entertainment.
