Storyline
Ruby (Elizabeth Gillies), an aspiring journalist in “Spread,” is a character who, in a desperate attempt to find work, accepts a temporary job at SPREAD, an adult magazine that was once very popular but is currently having trouble remaining relevant. Ruby is initially disappointed with the field but soon finds that the workplace is just like any other, with routine tasks and oddball coworkers. Ruby is tasked with revamping the magazine’s app as she begins to have a positive impression on her boss, Frank Ferretti (Harvey Keitel). Ruby starts to realize that there is room for improvement in the adult industry as a result of her efforts, and she sets out to change the magazine and reinvent her own career.
