Madonna expressed her gratitude for her children’s support as she reflected on the hospitalisation that necessitated the cancellation of her Celebration tour. Madonna also expressed her gratitude for being alive.
A month after being admitted to the hospital with “a serious bacterial infection” that put her in intensive care, the Queen of Pop expressed her thoughts on Sunday.
“The greatest medicine is love from family and friends. One month after leaving the hospital, I can now look back, the 64-year-old stated on Instagram while sharing pictures of her and her two children, David Banda, her second child, and Lourdes, her oldest child.
“As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving……….. But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference,” she added. “So did the love and support from my friends.”

The singer is a mother to Lourdes, Rocco, who she shares with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie, and twins Stelle and Estere. She also has four adoptive children, David, Mercy James, and twins Stelle and Estere.
The Grammy Award winner also highlighted a framed photo that her longtime manager Guy Oseary had handed to her. Andy Warhol snapped the Polaroid, which showed the late artist Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson’s likeness on it. According to The Material Girl, it symbolises “A perfect triangle of brilliance” and artists who “touched so many lives, including my own.”
“I sobbed when I opened this gift because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone,” Madonna wrote, thanking Oseary for the gift and the angels that protected her and let her “Stay to finish doing my work! “
Late in June, Oseary said that the singer’s bacterial infection necessitated a few days in the hospital. Although he stated that Madonna was anticipated to make “a full recovery,” the singer was obliged to “pause all commitments,” including her retrospective Celebration tour, due to her health. Rosie O’Donnell, her friend and “A League of Their Own” co-star, also provided some health updates, saying the performer is “feeling good” and “very strong” following the sickness.
