Plot Summary:
Following the events of “John Wick: Chapter 4,” everyone assumes that Keanu Reeves’ character, John Wick, has passed away. But the fabled killer has vanished into obscurity, seeking peace while leaving his horrific legacy behind. His reprieve is short-lived, as a new threat surfaces: “The Shadows,” a formidable syndicate that wants to control the criminal underworld by eradicating any traces of the High Table’s influence.
The Shadows believe that John Wick poses the biggest threat to their rule now that they know he is still alive. They are led by the cunning and vicious Vesper (Mel Gibson). Vesper kidnaps Charon (Lance Reddick) and Winston (Ian McShane) in an attempt to entice John to come out of hiding.
John finds himself back together with former friends and foes, such as Zero (Mark Dacascos), Sofia (Halle Berry), and the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne). He must negotiate a perilous path full of lies, treachery, and high-octane action. John fights his way through neon-lit streets of Tokyo, ancient Rome’s catacombs, and an epic showdown in the middle of New York City.
John Wick is forced to face his past in order to decide whether he can finally escape the cycle of violence or if he will always be used as a tool for retaliation. The stakes are higher than ever.
