Joe Manganiello and Sofa Vergara’s nearly eight-year union has come to an end.
In a statement to PageSix on Monday, the couple revealed the news and stated, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce.”
They issued a statement saying, “As two people who sincerely love and care for one another, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

Vergara and Manganiello’s agents have been contacted by CNN for comment.
Vergara shared a collection of images from the actor from “Modern Family”‘s opulent Palm Beach wedding in 2015 on her Instagram feed.
To wish Vergara a happy birthday, Manganiello most recently shared a photo of the two of them earlier this month.
Manganiello last appeared in a throwback photo that Vergara published in June from a different Italian vacation, but the “Magic Mike” star has been conspicuously absent from pictures that Vergara has recently shared from her birthday trip to Italy.
