Cristiano Ronaldo may need two more victories to win his first trophy as Al Nassr’s captain.

In the quarterfinals of the Arab Club Champions Cup on Sunday, Ronaldo scored his third goal of the year to lead Al Nassr to a 3-1 victory over Moroccan team Raja Club Athletic.

In the 19th minute, the 38-year-old scored impressively with his left foot from 17 yards out to give Al Nassr the lead.

Ten minutes later, Sultan Al-Ghannam extended the Saudi team’s lead with a beautiful low finish after persistently chasing down a long pass.

Raja pulled a goal back before half-time when Abdullah Madu inadvertently deflected the ball into his own net after trying to intercept a cross.

But a comeback never looked likely.

Sadio Mane played 70 minutes for Al Nassr in Sunday’s game.

Al Nassr will now face Iraqi champions Al-Shorta SC in the semi-finals in Abha on Wednesday.
