Storyline
Join Matt and Savannah, two fearless interns working on an archaeological dig in Hawaii, as they embark on an unexpected survival adventure. Kilo, an experienced volcano guide, takes them on an exploration of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on their day off. The sudden occurrence of a volcanic eruption makes their tour dangerous. Faced with imminent danger, Kilo recruits Matt and Savannah to help save precious artifacts from his family burial cave, which is directly in the lava’s path. Ka’iwa, a misguided defender of Hawaiian culture, follows them because he thinks they are pilfering the artifacts. When Ka’iwa abducts Savannah and takes one of the artifacts, the stakes get higher. The group of three faces several potentially fatal obstacles on their way down the perilous mountainside, such as a deadly volcanic gas cloud and a spectacular lava fountain. This harrowing journey tests their physical endurance, emotional resilience, and mental fortitude, while also straining Matt and Savannah’s romance. In the end, an unexpected resolution brings the adventure to a surprising and heartwarming close.
