Their conversation is momentarily interrupted by a skirmish with easily dispatched droids and adversaries.
Ahsoka and Sabine embark on a quest to locate the star map, promising Huyang that they will stick together. However, their promise quickly shatters when they encounter Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) and Marrok (Paul Darnell). The episode, like its predecessors, dedicates a considerable portion to lightsaber duels. Before wrapping up the episode, one final duel unfolds, pitting Baylan against Ahsoka. The verbal sparring reveals Baylan’s motives and his allegiance to Morgan Elsbeth’s plan to resurrect Thrawn. This brief interaction hints at Baylan’s desire for order, perhaps influenced by his “Fallen Jedi” status.
Sabine intervenes during the duel, snatching the star map as planned but triggering an unexpected twist. The episode’s title takes on a literal meaning as Baylan sends Ahsoka tumbling over a cliff, seemingly to her demise. This shocking turn of events leaves Sabine vulnerable to Baylan’s manipulations, endangering their mission.
As the chaos unfolds, Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) attempts to rally X-wing pilots to thwart Morgan Elsbeth’s escape to another galaxy. Her heroic efforts, however, result in tragedy as one pilot loses their life in the battle, sealing Hera’s fate.
The episode takes a somber turn as Jacen (Evan Whitten) expresses his ominous premonitions. With mysteries deepening and danger escalating, “Ahsoka” keeps fans on the edge of their seats as the series hurtles toward its second half.
