Rosario Dawson Teases the Release Date for "Ahsoka" - Theubj

It appears that we will have to wait a little longer.

Rosario Dawson, who portrayed Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, has hinted at a possible release date for the spin-off series centered around her character in The Clone Wars. During an interview on NBC’s TODAY Show, the actress suggested that Ahsoka might premiere on Disney+ in the fall. The show was filmed in the latter half of 2022, implying that it would be ready for release after this summer, given that it needs to undergo post-production during the first half of the year.

In the second season of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin and Grogu meet Ahsoka Tano while on their mission to find a Jedi to train Grogu in the ways of the Force. Despite her past conflicts with the Jedi Order in The Clone Wars, Ahsoka declines the offer to train Grogu and no longer considers herself a Jedi. However, she and the Mandalorian become friends and allies against common threats. In The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka advises Djarin to let Grogu choose whether to stay with Luke Skywalker at his Jedi academy or to continue adventuring with him.

Although there is no official description of the plot for the Ahsoka spin-off series, fans know that in her appearance on The Mandalorian, the character was on a mission to find Grand Admiral Thrawn, who was the primary antagonist in the animated show Star Wars: Rebels. Since some of the characters from Rebels have been confirmed for Ahsoka, it’s possible that the spin-off could continue the story of Rebels in a live-action format. This development could bring fans closer to discovering what happened to the character Ezra Bridger after the conclusion of Rebels.

Where Might Ahsoka Appear Next?

Lucasfilm did not make an official announcement regarding Rosario Dawson playing Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, despite online rumors suggesting the possibility. The same was true when she reprised the role in The Book of Boba Fett. Lucasfilm likes to save surprises for the midnight premieres of the episodes, making it difficult to predict if Ahsoka will appear in the third season of The Mandalorian. However, since new episodes of the show are set to air every week from March 1, it won’t be long before fans find out.
