Hollywood’s favorite action star is back — and this time, he’s playing two roles that will haunt your mind long after the credits roll.
Michael B. Jordan is opening up exclusively about his latest project Sinners, the psychological thriller directed by Black Panther mastermind Ryan Coogler, and how it’s not just about scares — it’s about starting deep conversations.
Sinners Set to Hit Indian Theaters & IMAX April 18, 2025
The buzz is real. Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed that Sinners will hit cinemas and IMAX screens across India on April 18, 2025. Directed and written by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Michael B. Jordan in a gripping dual role. The cast also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo.
Jordan Plays Both Brothers in a Town Haunted by Secrets
In Sinners, Jordan tackles the intense challenge of playing twin brothers who return to their hometown hoping to start fresh — only to confront a dark and dangerous evil waiting for them.
“This movie has so many layers,” Jordan told Pinkvilla in an exclusive chat. “I want people to have fun, but also walk away thinking. That’s the sweet spot — entertainment and reflection.”
Music Was Played On Set — And Jordan Says You’ll Feel It in Your Bones
In a rare move for Hollywood films, Sinners was shot with the actual soundtrack playing during filming.
“I haven’t been on other sets where we filmed to the real music that was going into the movie,” Jordan revealed. “We knew: ‘This is the song that’s gonna go over this scene.’ It was all happening in the moment. I want people to feel that music — like in their bones.”
The film’s soundtrack is once again composed by Ludwig Göransson, who’s worked with Coogler since their breakout hit Fruitvale Station.
Jordan Teases Breakout Stars — and Familiar Faces Like You’ve Never Seen Them
Jordan says the casting was “a beautiful mix” of fresh talent and veteran performers.
“I think people are gonna discover new actors they’ve never seen before — and also see people they know doing things they’ve never seen them do,” he shared. “That’s exciting for me as an actor and producer.”

Why Jordan Wants Audiences to Keep Talking After the Movie Ends
Asked what he hopes fans take away from Sinners, Jordan had one clear wish:
“I want them to still be thinking about the characters and the story — in the car, in the shower, sitting with their families. I want this to spark conversation.”
He continued: “Movies are powerful because they help us understand people and places we don’t always get to experience. But also… it’s fun to be a little scared sometimes, right?”
From Creed to Chills: Why Sinners Is Jordan’s Most Daring Role Yet
Jordan, who is no stranger to blockbuster hits (Creed, Black Panther, Without Remorse), says Sinners challenged him in new ways. Playing twins forced him to dig deeper — not just into performance, but psychology.
He says working with Coogler again brought a creative spark that’s rare in Hollywood: “We trust each other. We push each other. And that shows on screen.”
Get Ready: Sinners Drops April 18 in IMAX — and It’s Gonna Hit Hard
