Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani Seriously Injured in New Hampshire Crash

On Saturday night, August 30, 2025, Rudy Giuliani was involved in a serious car accident on Interstate 93 in Manchester, New Hampshire. According to his head of security, Giuliani had stopped to help a woman reporting a domestic violence incident, called 911, and stayed until authorities arrived. Shortly after resuming his journey, his vehicle was struck from behind at high speed.

The crash, captured in records by New Hampshire State Police, involved Giuliani as a passenger in a Ford Bronco driven by his spokesperson, Ted Goodman. A 19-year-old woman driving a Honda HR-V was involved in the collision. All three—Giuliani, Goodman, and the Honda driver—sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

Injuries & Recovery

Giuliani, 81, was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebra, along with multiple lacerations, contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg. He also required a brace for neck or back support. Despite the severity of the crash, he remains conscious, alert, and in good spirits. His security team emphasized the incident was not a targeted attack, and asked the public to respect his privacy as he recovers.

His upbeat condition was also affirmed by his son, Andrew Giuliani, who expressed pride in his father's resilience through social media.
