Congratulations on your wonderful achievements to date. What kind of movies and TV shows do you like to work on?

I really do love good pieces with good writing that makes me feel something the first time I read them, even with a basic and simple story but something special and fresh full of details. So, it really depends, I have of course my favorite genres but like I said you’ll never know when a good story comes into your hands, and you need to make it live for the audience, in the way in which it was intended.

Do you have a specific creative process when preparing for a movie?

My creative process when preparing for a movie it’s very exciting for me and I really love to explore and study the character or the story because can be something that I didn’t even know would exist or maybe that I’ve heard about it, but I wasn’t well informed. Can be pretty hard sometimes and challenge to do a real person that maybe is still alive or died recently because you have a moral responsibility, and you need to make it truth as possible with your interpretation staying with the real identity of the character. One thing that is important but for me it’s not the funniest thing to prepare is you need to know the script with all the story and the background and obviously your lines really good so you can play and have fun in the scene. One thing that really helps me is to know, not just my lines and my part, but the whole story so I can see the project in different ways and. I think that you can embrace the character with costumes, ideas or easily just a walk or an attitude which helps you to get in the mind and the body of the character, with no doubt I always listen to my inner voice and instinct.

Tell us about the movie ‘Love is Deaf’?

‘Love is Deaf’ is a movie parody of the original TV show ‘Love is Blind’ on Netflix, which follows a social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged.  Our movie is a comedy parody of the original reality show that creates a big mess and a great chaos between the relationships of those people.

What was filming like?

Filming this project was great fun and such a good experience for me and all the people involved in this movie. We shot the film in Los Angeles specifically close to Redondo Beach. Everyone was really inspired and always collaborative to do better with the goal of work in a community and create art. Recreating the scenes and adding the fun element wasn’t easy but with the help of our director Andrew Judge and the amazing crew, we achieved something awesome that we hope people will love. We had many moments as actors to improvise with freedom, where we discovered something different that wasn’t in the script and it’s a privilege to have that opportunity.

 What is your character like?

My character it’s a really good one and funny, pretty close to my personality but much more romantic and sarcastic than I am. I play the role of Nick, he is the only one in the house whose concern is to find real love, but he puts himself in a precarious position when he finds two women but must marry just one of them.

What was the last movie you went to see at the cinema?

I think that probably the last movie that I saw in the theaters was ‘Inside’. A really great movie with Willem Dafoe which is one of my favorite actors of all time, and the director Vasilis Katsoupis. ‘Inside’ is a psychological thriller film that narrates the story of an art thief that becomes trapped inside a luxury high-tech penthouse in New York, and he must use all his cunning and invention to survive. Honestly, I really enjoyed watching this movie because it’s almost two hours with Willem Dafoe on screen who delivers a stunning performance and the movie deals with so many things like art, luxury, and the relationship with what we need in real life and what’s so important about it. The movie is pretty heavy sometimes but enjoyable at the same time.

Can you tell us a few things not many people know about you?

I really do love to travel and discover different cultures and explore parts of the world. I love movies and cinema, food, and art. But also, I do love to connect with people or human beings just in general and know about their stories and picking their brains.

What’s up next?

I have several movies coming out this year, and a couple of really exciting international projects lined up. Stay tuned!
