Among many versatile talents, Abhijit Patil is gearing up for his directorial debut with the Marathi film ‘Rajmudra’.
The film is being touted as a social drama with a mix of emotions, comedy, action and entertainment. Abhijit has been a true cinephile from an early age, and he has grown up watching iconic films of superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Along with his directorial debut with ‘Rajmudra’, Abhijit Patil will also make his acting debut with the film.
Currently, Abhijit is undertaking acting workshops and the film is slated to go on floors later this year. The actor-director is giving his best shot for the film and is ensuring that he does justice to his work. Right from improving his vocals and diction to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Patil is in his top form for his debut project.
When asked what makes him more excited about the film, Abhijit said, “The feeling of being an actor and director for my debut film is giving me jitters. I did not think that I would get to take on different responsibilities in my maiden project. But honestly, I am loving the process of filmmaking.” Adding to it, Abhijit stated that the idea of bringing a story to screen is fascinating and a learning experience for him.
Calling his directorial debut a dream come true, Abhijit Patil is hopeful to learn new things while shooting for ‘Rajmudra’. Moreover, he is proud to make a Marathi film as he always wanted to bring his mother tongue to the forefront. As Abhijit hones his skills as an actor and filmmaker, he had earlier expressed his desire to work as a scriptwriter. “Once I wrap this project, I will learn script writing as it has been in my mind for quite a long time”, Abhijit added.
Besides ‘Rajmudra’, Abhijit Patil has a busy schedule on the professional side. As he finishes the social drama flick, the actor will begin with his web series ‘Assi Nabbe Pure Sou’. The web series is said to be based in the 80s, and it will also mark the actor’s foray into the world of OTT space.
