Los Angeles-based Latin pop recording artist Paloma Rush has released her latest hit song ‘Si Tu Regresas.’ Infused with a hot Latin rhythm, plenty of percussion and oozing with attitude, the accompanying music video, directed by Ayla Kell, is full of sexy sass and stimulating psychedelic heat.

From the opening chord, ‘Si Tu Regresas’ hits you hard with its catchy melody and slam-dunk lyrics about that one toxic person who is trying their best to make their way back into your life but it’s a definite pass on that chance.

Growing Up

Born into a musical family in Monterey in California, Paloma’s mom is English, French, and Irish, and her dad is Mexican and Spanish. Most of her time is spent between Monterey and Queretaro in Mexico.

She told Disrupt, “My family is very musical. I have three sisters and two brothers and at Christmas time we are like the Von Trap family, harmonizing carols and playing various instruments. My mom is the real music lover. She made sure we all took lessons. I began in plays, talent shows, children’s albums, any chance to perform. Then at 14 I started writing my own music and joined a lot of bands in different genres to get a feel for the music I liked. I was in a band in Mexico singing songs in both English and Spanish. Since then, I have gone on to be a finalist in the Miss Teen California Pageant taking 2nd place where I sang the ‘Star Spangled Banner’. I have been in original groups, cover bands, done studio recordings, toured nationally, I’ve done it all!”

Behind the Song

The new song ‘Si Tu Regresas’ is another exciting collaboration between writer-producer Raymond Jones and Latin queen Paloma Rush. The song is about an ended relationship, and in particular a toxic lover who is trying to make their way back into your life, but you aren’t falling for, you’re healed, and you’ve moved on. The music video, directed by Ayla Kell, was filmed with Jocelyn Hsu and Rene Amador of AR Wall at their new augmented reality studio. The empowering music video for ‘Si Tu Regresas’ was set on both a black and white psychedelic backdrop and desert scene, a perfect combination for the sassy song.

Fate and Fortune

It was good fortune that Paloma should write and record ‘Si Tu Regresas’ the Latina explained, “The song was originally written for Sech, a popular Panamanian artist. Raymond Jones (producer) and I had an insider pitching the song to him, but his team passed. It wasn’t quite what they were looking for and so, since I liked the song so much, I suggested we flip it and make it a Paloma Rush song. Raymond was on board with that plan so that’s exactly what we did and I’m happy with how it turned out. I am releasing new music every six weeks, and ‘Si Tu Regresas’ is a wonderful addition to my repertoire!”
