This is the saga of a woman of excellence from the steel city of Odisha, Rourkela, who has managed to accomplish a plethora of recognition, rewards, fame, and affection from the public in infinite verticals – Padmini Panigrahi. Padmini is a proficient classical dancer, singer, performer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and trained yoga therapist.
Padmini did her schooling at Uditnagar High School, Rourkela. She’s been enthusiastic about learning new skills and ensured to master them ever since she was young. She began training to become a professional classical dancer when she was six years old. Padmini pursued Visharad in Hindustani Classical Vocal from Gandharv University, Mumbai. She completed her Masters in Performing Arts from Sambalpur University, Odisha; MSc from Sambalpur University; and MBA in PR and Marketing from Xavier’s Institute of Management, Bhubneshwar. Further on, she pursued her PhD in Arts and Culture.
Padmini Panigrahi initiated her career in business with Sanjog mobiles in 2000. She worked there for six years and grew her expertise and proficiency. In 2006, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey by becoming the director of Koshala Hyundai. She excelled in her role and responsibilities and continues to be the director. Currently, she is an active director of a total of six companies in India, including the Koshala Group of Industries.
She believes in sharing her learnings with everyone and is associated as a guest lecturer with many reputed colleges and universities such as NIT, KIIT, RIMS, and IIPM, Rourkela. She performed and gave a motivational talk on the TEDx platform organised by Taxila Business School in 2019.
Padmini Panigrahi has received numerous recognitions for her excellence in performing arts. She was honoured with Juhar Samman in Bangalore, 2017; Sarat Saman at Bhubaneswar, 2017; Juhar Samman in Delhi, 2017; Juhar Samman in Baroda, 2019; Sanskruti Sanman, 2019 and a lot more.
On her journey as an entrepreneur, Padmini has received some commendable achievements – such as the winner of Elite Dealer in Eastern Zone, 2008; Best Dealer Partner in Cati H2, 2013; Best Performer in Overall Service in KPI, 2014; Times Achiever Award at Bhubaneshwar, 2017, and Best Performance in East Zone, 2019. Padmini Panigrahi also received Power Woman 2021 title by Times Group in Odisha.
Padmini Parigrahi aspires to encourage young individuals with her life stories and motivate them to follow their desire and achieve their ambitions. She is a compassionate woman and a philanthropist. She is a Founder and Trustee of ‘Dream Team Foundation’ – an organisation formed to handle waste food management, provide food for the needy and assist the underprivileged with basic needs and anything else they may require. She also founded NGO Koshala Darpana to promote talents and artists born without privilege.
