Recently, at the NYFW, she made head turns when she opened the act with a Bhatarnatym performance by popular actress Indrani Davaluri. Speaking about the same Anjali said,
“What an honor to be opening designer for the VIP New York fashion show. First time in history any designer took bharatanatyam performance to International platform like New York fashion week show which happed in Marriot Time square on 12th February 2022. It was not easy to make it happen but because of great support and high faith of the production team”
Bharat Natyam was received with great admiration from huge crowd present in the show and live audience. The show was live telecasted in 65 country audience on VIP tv network for style season 2 encore. Anjali styled the actress in beautiful traditional real gold plated pure pearls and meena Kari gold jewelry by designer dream collection
Anjali is extremely grateful to Laylah rose and Holly Lynch for making it happen and helping her in the approval process from production team and allowing her to include the Indian dance in the show. She is extremely proud of actress Indrani’s talent and when she showed her interest to perform in her show Anjali went above and beyond and worked tirelessly to make it happen.
Anjali admires and thankful to makeup artist Swarna Kamal to join the team and giving beautiful makeover to the actress for the performance. She gave a big thanks to the VIP team for allowing her team to showcase their culture. Anjali added, “I feel It is very important to spread awareness about our traditional values so our kids feel included and feel proud of our culture and embrace it. She styled many models in Indian Lehnga and saree and decided to wear the saree on the show because She feels Indian saree is not just six yards of fabric, it represents our culture, roots and where we come from and feel someone need to take initiative to make everyone inclusive and include our dance forms to showcase the diversity and Indian culture on runway.
Anjali added that she is proud and honored to present and support Indian culture and spread awareness about Indian heritage & culture on International platform.
