Achieving success in today’s world where we have all the resources available to us is surely commendable, however, making a place in people’s hearts isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and Samrat Abhay Thorat knows this better than anyone. Hailing from Pune, Maharashtra not only has he achieved several milestones but has also inspired the youth and has exemplified successful life.

Kickstarting his career as city president for a social organization named Sambhaji Brigade, today he is not only a member of the law committee and name committee member of PMC, but he is also the corporator(councilor) from BJP in PMC(Pune Municipal Corporation).

Unlike several other public figures, Samrat always adheres to the promises he makes to people and is always the first one to come out for help whenever needed. Even during the pandemic, when the world was fighting against covid-19, Samrat joined hands with all the helpers and stepped out to help needy people in every possible way.

On asking about how he contributed to the nation while pandemic, he says, “ I always believe that real success comes from helping others without any ulterior motive. I belong to a family who has been serving people for 50 years and today, it’s in my hand to continue the legacy.” Reportedly, Samrat has distributed over 45000 food packets and 3500+ grocery kits. He also helped the frontline workers during the pandemic by setting up various health camps, blood donation camps, and plasma donation camps.

Samrat says, “ I believe we all have it in our hands to do our parts and fight unitedly against this pandemic. The youth is the future of the country and they are immensely talented. All they need to do is step forward and do their parts.” It is safer to say that Samrat’s consistent efforts towards helping people in their lowest moment has made him the youth icon. However, his motive to start all these was to ensure that people lead a healthy and happy life. The pandemic is nowhere near its end but so is Samrat’s positive spirit. No matter how tougher the situation might get in the upcoming days, we all can be at peace by knowing that the corporator(councilor) from BJP in PMC(Pune Municipal Corporation) will always have our back.
