No one can deny that travel and photography are something the entire world is passionate about. However, to pursue your passion and to excel in it, you also need some talent and no one knows this better than Dr. Kumar B.G. Professionally, he has completed his MBBS, MD from Government Madras Medical College, Chennai. Being one of the kindest personalities, Dr. Kumar B.G during his college days, worked with the “ save a child” foundation, and raised over 1 lakh. Despite having a hectic schedule, he always found time for travel and photography.
Unaware of his passion, on a fateful day, Dr. Kumar was handed an SLR by his father. While strolling through a garden, he found a two-headed butterfly and captured it in the most beautiful way possible. That’s when he realized his passion for photography and after this moment, he never looked back. While talking about his passion, He says, “Achieving the right focus and exposure, the sound of the shutter, and later developing the film was so addictive that I grew into the process without a second thought. Once I grew older, my passion for photography became more pronounced when I traveled and saw places I never dreamed existed. “
Over the years, Dr. Kumar B.G has traveled to various places around the globe including Egypt, the USA, Kenya, Bali, Dubai, Thailand, Greece, and the Maldives. Managing Travel and Photography along with hospital duties is itself a challenge but his determination never allows him to give up. His hard work and dedication landed him an amazing collaboration with TripAdvisor in which he conducted a campaign after winning one of their travel photography competitions. Tripoto community and lonelyplanet also recognized his talent and featured some of his best photographs on their page.
While asking about his future endeavors, Dr. Kumar B.G said, “ I plan to launch #plantatree campaign soon starting with 1000 trees. This is my way of giving back to the earth.” Dr. Kumar keeps on conveying the real essence and beauty of nature through his words and photographs and we all can say that his genuine intentions are what has allowed him to attain success.
