Vishal Prajapati’s journey as a fashion model had begun before he had ever considered becoming a social media influencer. In 2015, he started posting his photo shoot pictures to Facebook to share his work with a wider audience, and receive constructive feedback on it. Soon after he moved to Instagram, and amassed a huge array of followers, which has crossed 771k by the time of writing. Endorsements and brand deals flowed his way, and the young man from Surat was well on his way to becoming an online influencer.
Vishal was part of a posse of cosmopolitan fashion personalities who were taking the scene by storm, introducing a leaner, more unisexual style. With his popularity having reached quite unprecedented levels, Vishal decided to capitalize on it. By 2020 he had launched his own clothes-line, Label by VP.
He showed mature business acumen, as his fashion line focussed on the kind of colourful and breezy clothing his brand had become identified with. The inexpensive and wide range of shirts and trousers on his website are all unisex in nature, which he models on himself.
His vision for the future is clear and practical, as he wants to use his popularity to try and affect positive changes in the world, while simultaneously growing his business as best as possible. Having fallen into the status of a ‘fashion influencer’, Vishal hasn’t shied away from it, instead embracing it to his advantage, securing his online persona for the ages. As the days go by, Label by VP will certainly be a start-up to keep an eye out for.
