When Dr. Chidester and I spoke, I was curious to know where it all started. He explained his humble beginnings as a child, living on a hospital compound in Saudi Arabia, and elaborated on how he was able to grow as a medical worker. Little did he know that his interest in medicine would turn him into a social media guru – who uses his growing platform to inform, educate, and inspire people all around the globe.
While other doctors have used similar routes to gain a certain stature of notoriety, I have yet to interview another doctor at Dr. Chiddy’s level. When it comes to engagement, persistence, and technicality, not many others can match his expertise. This is why I was intrigued to know what his future endeavors in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery were.
The board-certified surgeon told me that he plans to reinvent the way we look at surgery by revolutionizing the industry. One way he strategizes doing this is by utilizing social media to give his patients a more “hands-on” experience. “Without giving away too much, I’m currently developing something to completely transform the way that we as plastic surgeons approach patients and how we care for them before and after surgery. Something I hope someday all plastic surgeons will implement to help their patients.”, Dr. Chidester told me during our meeting. I found this statement to be very inspiring for several reasons. Not only is he expanding his business, but he is attempting to guide other doctors so that they can exemplify the same level of success. His creativity has been proven to work for him, which will give doctors and surgeons an example of just how possible his strategy is.
Dr. Chiddy wants everyone to gain new accolades by helping them take the necessary steps. For him, reinventing the aesthetic plastic surgery field will help improve the medical industry in great ways. He only hopes that others feel the same way about expanding their businesses. When it comes to certain fields, many people show reluctance to think outside of the box, and Dr. Chiddy wants to help them push those barriers.
I am anxious to witness the developmental changes of aesthetic plastic surgery. According to Dr. Chidester, we should start seeing changes rolling out very soon.
