Social media has, by far, become the most popular platform for digital marketing. It is no surprise that over 166 million people are using social media on a daily basis.
It is this that has been capturing businesses to market through these platforms, doing so with the help of social media influencers, digital marketers and social media managers like Dan.
Dan James Clarke has been remarkably successful in digital marketing since the young age of only 14. After being bullied throughout school, he still continues to be a widely reputable entrepreneur and manager on social media.
He says he once reached a point in life where he felt he had no purpose anymore. “All I felt was fear when I left my house. Fear that I wouldn’t come home or that something bad would happen to me.”
For many years Dan had to live with this anxiety and social media was a way for him to feel purpose. A way out from the mad world he was experiencing at that time.
Dan spent many years growing accounts and advertising even for such companies as TikTok, Wish and Calm App. He now manages many influencers, models and artists on social media providing amazing exposure to their brand or business.
He has also travelled the world from a noticeably young age, and he is looking forward to continuing to travel.
He says: “I have always loved travelling. Seeing all the wonderful places of the world excites me. The world is precious and the more you see the more you want to look after It.”
Dan has also done a lot of charity work in Kenya with the scout association in 2016. He went to multiple safe houses across Kenya, involved in bringing kids off the street who have no family whilst helping to maintain the safe house communities in Kisii and Meru.
On his travels, Dan also visited Nairobi and the Kibera slums, which are Africa’s biggest slums. “The Kibera slums are the worst thing I have ever seen,” he said. “It is heartbreaking to know that people are living in such bad conditions in the world’.’
Throughout his life, Dan hopes to continue doing some amazing charity work in order to help vulnerable people and animals across the globe. He’s a strong believer of looking after our natural world and the people that are apart of it.
In the future, Dan is also looking to improve himself as an individual and write a book about his life and how he has learnt to always keep a positive mindset through the hard times. He said his biggest advice for young people who are trying to follow their dreams is: “Don’t let anyone or anything get in your way. Always keep fighting no matter the situation because better days will always come!”
