Merian has fond memories of going to her backyard, scraping aloe vera out of the plant, boiling flax seeds and using them as hair gels.
Being unsatisfied with the result of the hair product in her times she decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in order to create something satisfying, and after spending 3-4 hours a day in chemistry labs mixing acids, balancing acid/base equations, analyzing bacteria in microbiology, and reading IR spectrums – Bounce Curl was born. The first product The Bounce Curl Light Hold Gel was launched in November 2015 still is Bounce Curl’s most popular product to date. Therefore, the inspiration behind Bounce Curl is Merian’s Grandmother herself.
Merian is the cosmetic formulator behind every product in the Bounce Curl brand. So, she knows very well Bounce Curl products meet the very highest standards. She personally examines and approves each and every single ingredient and the quality of those ingredients. Initially, she began the formulation and production process at her own home and later in the lab on a larger scale. She is committed to using better ingredients in Bounce Curl products sinch her product launch.
Over the years she has achieved several milestones. Her brand has gained recognition in more than 100 countries. Bounce Curl is a verified brand with Think Dirty. She has been contacted by the most major store in the United States, it has also appeared on national television programs, and has been displayed on billboards throughout the country.
