“My passion has always been to help women and to help advance my profession of pharmacy. I believe that pharmacists need to have increased recognition for all of what they do in the healthcare system and how they take care of patients”, said Dr. Soliman on being asked about what is her passion. She has also contributed to resolving issues such as gender biases in this profession. She founded and established Women Pharmacist Day in 2018.

“Other women may consider you a threat but you believe there is always room for more women. Systemic gender bias makes it harder for women to be in leadership positions so you may find yourself being that “token woman”. This situation is even more amplified for minority women. It isn’t easy”, said Dr Suzanne, on being asked about what advice she would want to provide others who are in her shoes.
