Art is a great way of telling stories visually and providing an essential outlet for creativity and emotions. The power of art transcends any other form of expression. It connects our outside world with our inner being. Today, visual artists and graphic designers are immensely impacting the business world. Silvia Lasmar is an expert visual artist who has created a connection between art and emotions.

Silvia is a Los Angeles-based graphic designer, visual artist, and branding specialist. Passion is an anchor to success that will always scale you to unlimited heights. From a young age, Silvia was passionate about exploring arts and creative thinking. Her father noticed her talent and passion for making art and nicknamed her ‘Fichi’. She grew up to realize her dream and created a graphic design brand, Fichi.

Silvia believes there is more than what meets the eye in art. It connects to people’s souls and minds, and how you present the art makes this connection. Silvia has crafted and mastered this craft. Through her graphic designs, she creates impactful connections between people and brands through meaningful visual concepts.

Graphic design is one of the most significant ways to boost your brand and draw your audience’s attention. Utilizing the best visual techniques will ensure your business gets noticed. This has been the secret behind Silvia’s success in the art industry. “I guarantee that brands have a consistent and recognizable expression in a unique, sophisticated, cool way and taking into account the brand’s business objectives,” she says.

A leading expert in visual art, Silvia believes that art should act as a link between perception, memory, and subjectivity. In addition, it should play with space, rhythm, and the physical, and psychological orientation of the viewer. This is evident in the visual identity she developed  for, Luminex, an award-winning digital artwork exhibition curated by Now Art Foundation. Notably, the event has transformed DTLA streets with projections and augmented reality artwork.

In her quest to succeed in the art industry, Silvia shared that her biggest challenge was being a foreigner and working in California, a place with many established professionals in graphic design and visual art. However, she was determined to bring her art to the world and maximize her potential in every job opportunity that came her way.

To set herself apart from other visual designers in the industry, Silvia mastered the market dynamics, which propelled her to the top. “I understand my client’s needs, research the market, and understand the mission, brand values, and voice before moving on to the visual identity project itself. I take into account all these strategic business elements combined with shapes, colors, typography, animations, and imagery in a creative way into compelling visual identities and graphics for both digital and printing mediums,” Silvia adds.

Silvia wants other aspiring artists to know there is great potential in art and its impact on people and businesses. She shares that art should not just be beautiful but should have meaning and a clear and unique voice that follows the strategies of a brand.

Silvia is confident to continue soaring high in her art career. In the coming years, she hopes to expand her creative  studio to include more kinds of art and establish her name in the industry. Silvia also hopes to work for innovative and relevant brands and projects that will help her advance her skills and impact more businesses.
