The Indian-origin famous icon Priyanka Chopra is teaming up with the American star Sienna Miller for a new movie which is based on a novel. The director will be Anthony Chen. The movie is based on ‘Secret Daughter’ novel. As per the reports Amazon Studios is going to feature the film with Shruti Ganguly being the one making the novel adaptive for the visual world.
The novel is based on the life of two women, one who is a newly wed in San Francisco with a job of a physician, unable to bear a child, named Somar. The other is a poor mother from India who had to make the hardest choice to part with her daughter to save her life. Kavita. the child’s mother had to live with her guilt and decision eating her up alive. The girl child’s name is Asha, the one who is going to bind these women lives with destiny as she gets adopted from Mumbai orphanage.
When Asha sets out on path to discover herself, that journey leads her back to India, where she came to know about the invisible connection shared by Kavita and Somer through her. David Beaubaire of Sunset Land Media and Vanessa are going to be the producers. Also Priyanka’s & Mary Rohlich’s Purple Pebble Pictures, Miller and Tori Cook.
