Story

A captivating new Korean drama called Interlaced Scenes combines the realms of real-life crime and literature. Following the lives of two detectives, Jiang Guangming (Ma Yi Li) and Shi Luo (Gao Zhi Ting), the narrative revolves around their involvement in a puzzling case that reflects the happenings of a novel penned by the mysterious and reclusive Gu Jiming (David Tong).

Episode 1-3:

Detective Jiang Guangming is shown in the drama as she looks into a horrific murder. Clues are placed so precisely it looks like someone is playing a game at the crime scene, which is unsettling. Detective Shi Luo, on the other hand, is tasked with helping Jiang. He is renowned for his meticulousness and analytical mind. Their paths eventually cross with Gu Jiming, a well-known but enigmatic novelist whose most recent work appears to provide an incredible amount of detail about the crime scene.

The detectives discover that the boundaries between fact and fiction are increasingly dissolved as they read through Gu Jiming’s book because every new chapter provides more details about the ongoing investigation. To get to the bottom of things, the detectives have to work their way through a complex web of lies, deceit, and storytelling.

Episodes 4-7:

With each passing episode, the tension escalates. Jiang Guangming and Shi Luo discover that Gu Jiming’s past holds dark secrets that might explain his uncanny ability to write about the murders. As they interrogate Jiming, they are led to various suspects, all of whom have a connection to the novelist.

Detective Shi Luo becomes increasingly suspicious of Jiming’s involvement in the crimes, while Jiang Guangming is intrigued by the possibility of a deeper, more complex conspiracy. They encounter various obstacles, including a meddling journalist and corrupt officials trying to bury the truth.

Episodes 8-11:

Lyric Lan Yingying’s character, an enigmatic woman with ties to both the literary and criminal worlds, enters the scene. Her role is shrouded in mystery, adding another layer of intrigue. Is she an ally or a foe? Her interactions with both the detectives and Gu Jiming reveal hidden motives and secrets that could change everything.

As the story progresses, the detectives realize that the murders might be inspired by an older, unsolved case that Gu Jiming had researched for his novel. This revelation leads them to re-examine past evidence and revisit old witnesses, unraveling a chilling pattern.

Episodes 12-15:

In the final episodes, the tension reaches its peak as the detectives close in on the true murderer. The lines between fiction and reality blur to the point where even the detectives begin to doubt their own perceptions. Gu Jiming’s final chapters hold the key to solving the mystery, but reading them comes at a great risk.

The climax is a heart-pounding confrontation where all secrets are laid bare. Loyalties are tested, and the true mastermind behind the murders is revealed in a shocking twist that no one saw coming.
