Story

“To the Wonder” follows the journey of Li Wenxiu (Zhou Yiran), a young Han Chinese woman who returns to her hometown in Altay after facing setbacks in pursuing her literary dreams in the city. Back in Altay, she reconnects with her mother (Ma Yili), who runs a small provision store. Amidst the picturesque landscapes of Altay, Wenxiu meets Batay (Yu Shi), a Kazakh boy, and begins to rediscover the beauty of her homeland. As Wenxiu navigates the challenges of life and her own aspirations, she finds herself torn between her dreams and the bonds of family and love.
