Story
“Like a Flowing River 3” carries on the gripping story that began in June 1993 and centers on the international partnership between Donghai Chemical and Luoda Company. The main character, Song Yunfei, is heavily involved in the Pengyang Pesticide Factory in Donghai’s technical reform. In spite of his lack of prior pesticide experience, Song Yunfei is unwavering in his dedication to hard work, spearheading the development of highly effective and low-toxic pesticides that eventually save a small pesticide factory that was about to close.
Another important figure, Lei Dongbao, establishes the Thunder Cable Cluster by combining Dafeng Wire Factory with other smaller factories. In addition to negotiating the intricacies of interpersonal relationships, he must bid on projects, conduct international business, and draw in investments. Lei Dongbao consistently puts the interests of the villagers and the collective first, despite the challenges.
Yang Xiaolei works with Liang Sishen to build a mall by utilizing the family’s connections. He struggles with ethical conundrums in the business sector, vacillating between good and wrong. Liang Sishen is hard at work in the interim, trying to strike a balance between Donghai and Luoda’s interests in the joint venture. Luoda demands Liang Sishen resign when tensions between her and her foreign counterparts escalate, and she eventually accedes, guaranteeing Donghai’s production safety.
