Story
“Always on the Move” is a poignant period drama that takes place in the late 1970s and follows the development of China’s railway network via the eyes of two devoted railway police officers.
Wang Xin (Bai Jingting), a youthful and dedicated police officer, is on a steam train bound for Harbin from Ningyang at the start of the drama. Driven by a sense of duty, he wrongly believes that Ma Kui (Ding Yongdai), an elderly railway policeman, is on the run. They argue because of this misunderstanding, but eventually their relationship becomes more than just a mentor-apprentice one.
After working together to protect the safety of passengers on the railway, Wang Xin and Ma Kui, despite their initial disagreements, grow to respect and understand one another. They combat a variety of crimes, including fraud, drug trafficking, theft, and kidnapping, but they never compromise the safety of the train passengers.
