Iconic Soap Star Andrea Evans Loses Battle with Breast Cancer at 66

Andrea Evans, a popular actress who appeared on “One Life to Live,” “The Bold and The Beautiful,” and “Passions,” has passed away. She was 66 years old. Following a battle with breast cancer, Evans passed away on Sunday at her home in Pasadena, California, Evans’ agent Nick Leicht confirmed to USA TODAY on Monday. Leicht stated in a statement that she was “such a tremendous talent and an absolute joy to work with.”

Evans’ husband Stephen Rodriguez described her as a “remarkable individual, cherished by all who knew her” in a statement to USA TODAY. We were always motivated by her undying courage, optimism, and unbreakable spirit as she bravely battled this unrelenting sickness.

Evans’ daughter Kylie Rodriguez stated in a statement that “at just 19 years old, my world has been forever changed, and words cannot adequately convey the depth of my sadness.” “All who were fortunate enough to know her left a mark on her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love for life,” she added. “During her battle with illness, my mum showed incredible strength… She gave me the priceless lesson of finding joy even at the darkest of times despite the agony and uncertainty. Until the very end, we remained hands-on.

Evans made her television debut in 1978’s NBC miniseries “The Awakening Land” as Fay Morrison Wheeler. On the ABC programme “One Life to Live,” which starred Erika Slezak as Victoria Lord, Evans was cast as Tina Clayton, subsequently known as Tina Lord. Over the years, she repeatedly played the same part; she last appeared in the series in 2011.

With additional roles on “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and “Passions,” Evans solidified her reputation as a soap opera icon. Evans portrayed Tawny Moore on “The Bold and the Beautiful” from 1999 to 2000, and Patty Williams Abbott on “The Young and the Restless” from 1983 to 1984.”She faced the challenges with grace, resilience, and an enduring love for life,” her husband concluded.
