Following his rumoured divorce from Camila Cabello in June, the Canadian singer took a few bikini-clad friends on a Mediterranean holiday.

Nothing is preventing Shawn Mendes from taking advantage of his leisurely vacation in Ibiza, Spain!

The 24-year-old “Stitches” singer was on holiday at the popular Spanish destination on Friday when he displayed his toned abs. He travelled with a few friends on a boat tour across the Mediterranean Sea while dressed in a green bathing suit.

Mendes took advantage of the trip’s relaxed activities, which included a quick swim in the ocean to cool down and showed his bikini-clad companions things on his phone while they lounged on the boat.

Later, Mendes donned a white button-down shirt, a denim tote bag, and black sunglasses to complete his look.

The “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” singer recently returned from a trip to Europe after splitting up with his former Camila Cabello, 26, after a June reconciliation. After two years of dating, the couple decided to end their relationship the first time around in November 2021.
After their most recent breakup, a source revealed to PEOPLE why the brief reconciliation fizzled out.

“Shawn is still growing and discovering himself. He needs time to himself to do what makes him happy,” the insider told PEOPLE. “He has a lot more living and learning in his future.”

After being seen kissing at Coachella in April, the ex-couple prompted rumours that they were reconciling. At the time, a source told PEOPLE that the two “always seemed to have a special connection” and had “been friendly for months.”

The two were repeatedly spotted making physical contact while out and about in Los Angeles and New York City, which encouraged rumours that they had revived their romance. They went to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour together in New Jersey at the end of May.

When the song was first released, the singer discussed how it also refers to his current personal struggles in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1.

“I was upstate New York and just on the back end of feeling a lot of things about relationships, about my career, about [the] environment,” he remarked. And as I was working in the studio, I experienced a sudden wave of intense dissatisfaction before feeling some sort of inspiration.
