The stars aligned once again for Beyoncé‘s third and final Renaissance Tour concert at SoFi Stadium, and the event happened to fall on Queen Bey’s 42nd birthday. The night was filled with speculation about possible guest appearances, further fueling the excitement.

The crowd was a sea of red and black balloons, with thousands of Beyoncé fans eagerly awaiting her performance. Among the galaxy of stars in attendance were power couple Zendaya and Tom Holland, Justin and Hailey Bieber, comedy legend Chris Rock, chart-topping sensation Adele, the vivacious Lizzo, pop icon Katy Perry, actress Kate Hudson, R&B star Normani, and legendary singer Brandy. Notably, reality TV royalty Kim and Khloé Kardashian also graced the event with their presence. But perhaps the most anticipated guests were the rumored couple, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner. The stars couldn’t have timed their appearance better, as Beyoncé took the stage at precisely 9:04 p.m. to coincide with her birthdate. The audience erupted in celebration as she kicked off the show on her special day.

Later in the evening, the incomparable Diana Ross made a surprise appearance, much to the delight of the crowd. Taking the stage with grace and style, Ross greeted the Los Angeles audience with a cheerful “Hello, L.A.!” This surprise guest had been the subject of rumors all day, and the speculations proved true as Ross serenaded the crowd with her classic hit “Love Hangover.” She then led the entire stadium in singing “Happy Birthday” to Beyoncé. The touching moment saw Beyoncé rush to the stage to embrace Ross, tears welling up in her eyes. Ross warmly declared, “I’m here to celebrate Beyoncé’s birthday,” to which Bey responded with a heartfelt, “I love you.”

Before performing her song “Flaws and All,” Beyoncé addressed the sold-out crowd with a moving birthday speech. Expressing gratitude to her fans, family, and the original members of Destiny’s Child, she couldn’t hold back tears of appreciation. “My soul is full. I’m so thankful, I’m trying not to cry,” Beyoncé confessed. “I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful to be on stage. I’m thankful to look out and see your faces. I’m thankful to be able to provide a safe space for all of y’all. I’m thankful for music, for the ability to heal myself through music which then heals all of you.”

She went on to give thanks to her mother, Tina Knowles, father, Matthew Knowles, and husband, Jay-Z, even referencing her critically acclaimed 2016 album, “Lemonade.” Beyoncé expressed gratitude for every tear, every year, her children, her husband, and the challenges they’ve faced together. She also acknowledged her father’s presence at the event and thanked him for his sacrifices. Her mother, whom she referred to as her beautiful queen, received heartfelt appreciation too.

In a particularly poignant moment, Beyoncé expressed thankfulness for Destiny’s Child, naming each original member and expressing gratitude for everyone who has been with her since 1997. She thanked her fans for embracing her flaws, stretch marks, and “FUPA” (fat upper pelvic area) and noted her appreciation for still performing at 42. Beyoncé concluded by expressing her gratitude for joy and God. The heartfelt speech left the audience deeply moved, capping off a memorable night of music and celebration.
