Snoop Dogg‘s daughter, Cori Broadus, at 24 years old, recently faced a severe health scare as she revealed on her Instagram Story that she suffered a stroke. The talented singer, daughter of the renowned rapper and wife Shanté, took to social media to share her vulnerability and resilience in the face of adversity. Cori, who has been battling lupus since the tender age of 6, has chosen a holistic approach to her health, emphasizing a journey marked by courage and determination.

The Instagram post from the hospital detailed Cori’s emotional response to the stroke, questioning why such a significant health event would happen at the age of 24. While specifics of her recovery and the circumstances leading to the stroke weren’t disclosed, Cori’s health journey has been challenging due to her long-standing battle with lupus.

Lupus, diagnosed in Cori at the age of 6, is an autoimmune disease that affects various organs in the body. The immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues, causing inflammation and potentially leading to complications in the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for this complex and often debilitating disease. Given the impact of lupus on multiple organs, it can increase the risk of stroke. Cori’s revelation sheds light on the intricate challenges she faces and the importance of managing her health effectively. In September 2023, Cori spoke to about her lupus battle and the transformative lifestyle changes she embraced. Opting for an “all-natural” approach, Cori transitioned away from medications, incorporating herbs, sea moss, teas, regular exercise, and increased water intake into her routine.

Having relied on medication since childhood, Cori decided to make a drastic change, going “cold turkey” on her medications five months prior to the interview. She shared her desire for a better quality of life, free from the mental and physical toll of medication. The results were promising, with Cori experiencing reduced joint pain and arthritis symptoms. Cori emphasized the positive impact of her lifestyle changes, noting the absence of achiness in her joints, a common struggle for lupus patients. Despite the progress, she acknowledged the ongoing learning process, recognizing areas such as diet and rest that require further attention.

While celebrating the positive changes, Cori acknowledged the ongoing challenges, particularly in maintaining a healthy diet and ensuring adequate rest. Her determination to make a complete lifestyle transformation reflects a commitment to long-term well-being, acknowledging that change is a gradual process.
