It all starts with a song, and Miranda Lambert thinks that’s where the attention should remain.

On Saturday night, as part of her current Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency, Lambert was just starting to play her 2018 ACM Song of the Year winner “Tin Man” when she noticed a few women nearby who appeared more interested in taking selfies than actually listening to Lambert’s music.

Lambert informed the crowd assembled in the Zappos Theatre at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, “I’m going pause right now for a second, I’m sorry. These females aren’t listening to the song since they are preoccupied with their selfie.

She gestured for the girls to put their phones away and then asked, “Shall we start again?” to the throng. The audience applauded as she began the song again.

Lambert stated, “When you’ve been touring as long as I have, there’s something really creative about imagining a residency in a city like Las Vegas,” before to beginning her Las Vegas residency in September 2022.

This chance allows me to push a little more into that side of myself and consider how to really bring country music to life in this space. I’ve had a lot of fun creating our sets, merchandise, clothes, and boot lines, as well as my place on Broadway in Nashville, Casa Rosa. I believe that what we have created will appeal to everyone.

Lambert recently released her first cookbook, Y’all Eat Yet? in addition to the residence. The Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen is your home. She also gave a performance at CMA Fest in June, inviting Leon Bridges, Elle King, and Avril Lavigne to join her at various moments.
