While life goes quickly, House of the Dragon moves even quicker. When the series started, Rhaenyra Targaryen was just 14 years old, and Viserys Targaryen was a vivacious young king. After what happened in episode 8, King Viserys is now unquestionably on his way out. The succession is approaching—the day Viserys has been educating Rhaenyra for. least theoretically. On Sunday, we’ll see how adept House Hightower is at creating obstacles in Rhaenyra’s path to the Iron Throne.
Before Daenerys Targaryen became the Mother of Dragons, House of the Dragon takes place 190 years in the past. House of the Dragon concentrates on the Targaryens whereas Game of Thrones focused on families from all over Westeros and beyond. It tells the story of the rise and eventual collapse of the House Targaryen and is based on the book Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin.
House of the Dragon will show one episode at a time, much like Game of Thrones did before it. (And we now know that a second season will be produced.) At the same time as its immediate predecessor, it airs on Sunday at 9 p.m. PT. At the same time, the show will be available on streaming providers all around the world, including HBO Max in the US.
In what time zone does House of the Dragon premiere?
House of the Dragon premieres on HBO at 9 p.m. PT/ET, although it is available on HBO Max three hours earlier (6 p.m. PT) for viewers on the West Coast. The show airs on Sky UK at 2 a.m. the following day, so viewers in the UK and Ireland will need to stay up late. At noon AEDT, it will air on Foxtel and Binge in Australia.

One of the most well-known serial dramas in the world, Game of Thrones was praised for bringing Hollywood blockbuster production to your television. Winds of Winter, the sixth book in the Song of Fire and Ice series, is infamous for its frequent delays.
Fortunately, HBO is permitted to borrow Martin’s annotations once more in House of the Dragon. The television program is based on Fire & Blood, a 2018 novel by Martin. The second book in the series Martin is writing on the Targaryen dynasty, House of the Dragon takes up where Fire & Blood left off.
