Peacock unveiled the first image of Pete Davidson and Joe Pesci on the set of their new television show Bupkis, which is currently in full production. The half-hour live-action comedy will approximately recapture Davidson’s life story in a, but dramatised it with a combination of crazy elements and the SNL alum’s distinctive uncensored brand of humour and perspe ctive. Pesci plays Davidson’s granddad in the show, which will be his first television appearance since 1985’s Half Nelson.

With the series, Davidson and Pesci will undoubtedly spend a lot of time with their families, and they already appear to be the perfect grandfather and grandson. They’re bonding as they get ready for an improbable cooperation while sitting side by side on a bench by the docks with their shades on and Pesci holding an iPad.

Bupkis: Peacock revealed the first look at Pete Davidson lead comedy series 2

Pesci has been in a semi-retired state for some time, and his participation in Bupkis will be just his second television appearance overall. Although he has appeared in comedies like Home Alone and My Cousin Vinny, it is weird to see him opposite Davidson, a career comedian, given that most of his notable work over the years has been in dramas like Goodfellas and The Irishman.

Bupkis will also include the skills of Emmy-winning The Sopranos actor Edie Falco as Davidson’s mother in addition to Davidson and the Academy Award-winning Pesci. This is Davidson’s second attempt at writing a life-based adaptation; in addition to acting, he also writes and executive produces the show. With his former The King of Staten Island writing partner Dave Sirus and the recently added showrunner Judah Miller, Davidson will reteam for Bupkis. There’s currently no release date of Bupkis.
