The first season of Warrior Nun, a Netflix original series, debuted on July 2, 2020, and concluded with a surprising betrayal and twist. Season 2’s wait is almost over. The second season of Warrior Nun, which will debut on November 10, 2022, had earlier been confirmed by Netflix. Season 2 of the biblical coming-of-age tale has long been anticipated by fans. Fear not, though, since Warrior Nun now has a release date and a new trailer.

The first season of the Warrior Nun television series, which is based on the Warrior Nun Areala comic book, was a very entertaining and occasionally gloomy show that wasn’t hesitant to address issues that the Catholic Church is currently facing. The main character in the manga-inspired film Warrior Nun, played by Alba Baptista, is a 19-year-old woman who wakes up in a mortuary with a new lease on life and a divine artefact embedded in her back. She learns that she is now a part of an ancient order tasked with battling demons on Earth, and that strong powers from both heaven and hell are out to get her and have influence over her.

The dramatic cliffhanger of Season 1’s conclusion is resolved in the action-packed trailer, which picks up with Alba Baptista’s Ava. The Order of the Cruciform Sword is currently being prepared by Ava for the impending conflict with Adriel. Since we last met the demon, his influence has been expanding. The teaser is filled with riveting sequences of the characters establishing boundaries, including Ava and Father Vincent’s strained reunion after his betrayal of her in the previous season. Cardinal Duretti also seems to have been tainted by Adriel at the same time.

The official synopsis for this season is as follows, “Ava and the Sister-Warriors of the OCS must find a way to defeat the angel, Adriel, as he attempts to build his following into the dominant religion on the planet.” Ava’s new weapon, which is essential to stopping him, is the major item that this teaser reveals. Adriel was initially beaten by a mysterious disc with a halo-like appearance that we see Ava take off a statue. Hopefully, it will be just what the OCS needs to win once more. The Samaritans, a brand-new group with the aim of exposing the church for what it actually is, are also introduced in the video. It’s too early to say whether they’ll be an official ally of the OCS, but at least to begin the season, Ava will be working with them.
