Dwayne Johnson hinted at a Black Adam versus. Superman movie as he prepared for Black Adam, the much anticipated Shazam! spin-off. The actor recently stated in an interview that making a Black Adam vs. Superman movie is “the whole objective” of bringing Black Adam to the big screen in his independent film. Johnson said, “Absolutely,” when Variety questioned whether he “intends to develop a movie where Black Adam battles [Superman].” Man, that is the whole purpose of this.
“For a long time, I’ve been saying that a new era in the DC Universe is going to begin,” Johnson remarked. “When I stated that, I meant to entirely rethink the identity. It is neither a sequel nor a well-known IP. You might be aware that it was Black Adam. Two years ago, no one knew anything about him. We did, but not the majority of people in the world.”
What I meant when I said, “This is a new age in the DC Universe,” was listening to the fans, he said. And we’re doing everything we can to keep the fans happy. Regarding the desire to see a fight between Black Adam and Superman on the big screen, I have been listening and have wanted to answer fans for years.
Johnson said, “I’ve been waiting for someone to get up and address the supporters and say, ‘Hey, we hear you.'” So we eventually arrived at what we arrived after many months turned into many years. And the present goal and attention are on this new era and time. Let’s now expand. Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, and Pierce Brosnan are all featured in Johnson’s Black Adam.
Black Adam’s official summary states the following: “Teth Adam received the powerful gods’ abilities in prehistoric Kahndaq. He used his powers to exact revenge before being apprehended and changing into Black Adam. Black Adam has changed from being a real person to a tale to a legend over the course of more than 5,000 years. I intended to completely reimagine the persona when I said that. The Justice Society, comprised of Cyclone, Hawkman, Dr. Fate, and Atom Smasher, opposes his singular brand of avenging justice now that he has been set free.”
The movie premieres on October 21.
