Netflix to Release Andrés Escobar’s Series The Final Score in November 2022

the final score

Beginning in early November 2022, Netflix will begin streaming The Final Score (also known as Goles en Contra in Spanish-speaking areas). Along with eight other Colombian series, the programme was first announced in development in April 2021 as part of Netflix’s ongoing commitment to regional local programming. The released Pálpito, Diomedes, Juanpis, and Perfil Falso were among the other shows that were announced. This is how Netflix revealed the new show:

Goles en Contra, a written miniseries on the complex relationship between Colombian soccer and drug trafficking, was created by Pablo Gonzalez and Camilo Prince (Historia de un Crimen: Colmenares, El Robo del Siglo), and we will start production on it this year.
The six-episode series will consist of the following, according to Netflix:

This series examines the intricate relationship between professional soccer and drug gangs throughout the 1980s and 1990s in Colombia, and is based on the Andrés Escobar murder case.

For those who are not aware with Andrés Escobar’s tale, he was a well-known Colombian football star who tragically perished after the 1994 FIFA World Cup in “retaliation” for scoring an own goal. The show is being produced by Dynamo, a production firm that has already worked on other Netflix Originals, including the wildly popular shows Narcos, Club de Cuervos, The Great Heist, and Pedal to Metal. Due to the series’ use of strong language, nudity, and smoking, it is assigned the TV-MA rating in the US.

On September 28th, Netflix Latin America released the first images from the upcoming series and said that it would premiere on Netflix on November 2nd, 2022. The Final Score is anticipated to be available on Netflix worldwide, despite the fact that not all regions have the show’s pages at the time of publication. Additionally, a teaser was made available on the Netflix Latin America YouTube channel. Given that it has English dubs and subtitle options, you should watch the trailer on the Netflix website if you speak English.
