Prior to the release of season 2, The Legend of Vox Machina’s third season has been renewed via Prime Video. The first episode of Legend of Vox Machina featured both voice actors reprising their characters and notable guests like Doctor Who alum David Tennant. It is an animated adaptation of the first campaign of the well-known web series Critical Role, which shows a group of voice actors playing Dungeons & Dragons. The main plot involved the crew’s avenging a slew of murders committed by Lord and Lady Briarwood.

The Legend of Vox Machina will return for season three, Prime Video said during its panel at New York Comic Con, according to Variety. The information is released in advance of the second adaption chapter, set to debut in January 2023. The number of episodes for season 3 is unknown, however season 1 of Legend of Vox Machina has 12 episodes.

The show has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with viewers noting that Legend of Vox Machina avoids Dungeons & Dragons adaptation issues by deftly adapting its source material to the screen and turning complex lore into relatable and enjoyable ideas that can be appreciated by a broad audience while still speaking to the die-hard fans. Though Legend of Vox Machina season 2 won’t premiere for a few more months, those fans now have some exciting news to look forward to because they contributed to the Kickstarter that made the project possible.

The outcome of season 2 will have a big impact on The Legend of Vox Machina season 3. The Vox Machina team has just saved the realm from the most dreadful power couple in Exandria’s plans to kill and destroy it as the show resumes. But the characters must accept the fact that they will have to save the world once more. The Chroma Conclave, a collection of dragons, are this time the danger. This is consistent with how the smash hit on Prime Video intends to adapt additional well-known tales from the lore after Briarwood.
