After the two had a “strange time” together on set, actor and comedian T.J. Miller said he had no interest in returning for Deadpool 3 or working with Ryan Reynolds ever again. Miller, who portrayed the brash bartender Weasel in the first two installments of the franchise, believes Reynolds despises him and recounted an instance in which Reynolds allegedly asked for another take to insult Miller in front of a member of the cast and crew.

“He was like, vulgar to me as the role. though to me. I feel like Weasel “In his explanation on The Adam Corolla Show, Miller. “You know what I admire about you, Weasel? Even though you’re not the lead, you provide just enough exposition to make it amusing so that we can go on and resume the main film.” Reynolds’ punch caught Miller off guard. He added, “I just kind of listened and thought it was odd and then I got off stage because they were like, ‘Cut…?'” He also observed that the cast and crew were uneasy following the scene.

Although Miller indicated that the encounter went more profound than merely an onscreen dynamic, his character did serve to propel the larger plot. He deadpanned, “It’s exactly why he said that.” “I mean, I’m not even more fun than he is, right? And I haven’t appeared in any more films than he has.” Miller claimed that the incident revealed all there was to know about Reynolds. “Would I reteam with him? No. He said, “I sort of wish him well because he’s so brilliant at Deadpool, and I think it’s funny because he dislikes me. I wouldn’t work with him again.”

The comedian actor has developed a dubious reputation of his own. Throughout his career, Miller has been involved in several issues. In 2017, a lady accused him of sexual assault, which he vigorously denied. He denied mistreating an actor on his HBO series Silicon Valley set a year later. Miller insisted throughout the discussion that he likes Reynolds’ portrayal of the Merc with a Mouth, even though Reynolds is an “insecure person” in real life. He remarked, “He’s such a fantastic comic that he’s so quick and so amusing when you hide his face. “I adore him as a comic, but I believe that things changed once he became quite well-known thanks to the first Deadpool. I believe he said, “See? You two see?”

Miller said that, despite his remarks, his position on working with Reynolds once more may alter. However, don’t anticipate seeing Weasel in any further Deadpool films. He said, “I honestly don’t think you should do something for more than five years. “Playing Weasel now, ten years later, seems strange to me. But he said, “I don’t intend any harm on them. I believe [Reynolds] should do a Deadpool 3 and carry on with his filmmaking. I just believe that he dislikes me, and I found his manner of expressing it to be peculiar.

When EW contacted Reynolds for comment, no one from the company responded right away. The release date for Deadpool 3 which will also mark Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine comeback is planned for September 6, 2024.
