The Netflix movie Last Seen Alive has a disturbing premise since it’s something that has really happened in real life. Will (Gerard Butler) takes Lisa Spann (Jaimie Alexander), who has requested a marital separation, back to her parent’s home so they may spend some time apart.
In order to go to Lisa’s parent’s house, they stopped at a gas station about fifteen minutes away. To say that everything goes wrong would be an understatement. Will is left alone when Lisa is taken away, and the police look at him as the main suspect.
What transpires in the Last Seen Alive finale, then?
Do you remember that proverb? The one that essentially asserts that someone you know has a higher likelihood of attacking or murdering you? That appears to be the situation with Lisa’s abduction. Will learns that Knuckles, her parents’ handyman, abducted Lisa (Ethan Embry). Then again, why would Knuckles abduct an unidentified woman from a gas station? Is he irritated that his name is Knuckles? Will learns from Lisa’s parents that Knuckles has known Lisa since elementary school. Will queries Lisa’s mother Anna (Cindy Hogan) about whether Lisa would recognize Knuckles well enough to ride along with him.
Will leaves in close pursuit of Lisa’s kidnapper when Anna replies “no.” It comes out that Knuckles abducted Lisa because he was aware of her parent’s and Will’s money. Knuckles had wanted to obtain Lisa’s ransom in exchange for drug money from Frank. Frank is furious that Knuckles abducted Lisa at an area where he was photographed, therefore in essence, Knuckles’ plan was poor from the beginning. He gives Knuckles the order to dispose of Lisa, his key piece of evidence, and essentially bury her somewhere she won’t be found.
Fortunately, Will tracks out Frank, who insists he is unfamiliar with Knuckles (given his name, we wouldn’t claim to know him either, to be honest). The fact that Frank passes away during his altercation with Will makes finding Lisa more difficult. When Will believes the trail is dead, he encounters Oscar the gas station employee, who likewise demands a ransom in exchange for information on Lisa’s safety. Oscar can prove that he is aware of Lisa’s location. He demonstrates Will’s phone.
But Oscar too passes away. What should a man like Will do? Will eventually finds Lisa just when it appears that his search is over. She is imprisoned in a building next to the grave Knuckles dug for her body. Lisa is thankfully still very much alive. Knuckles at least got that part correct. They all have a happy ending once Will and Lisa are reunited and reconciled. Right now, Last Seen Alive is available on Netflix.
