In response to Angelina Jolie’s claims that he physically abused her and their children on a turbulent private jet trip in 2016, Brad Pitt is denying the claims.

According to the “Fight Club” star’s agent, the allegations in a fresh countersuit filed on October 4 are “totally incorrect.” In court filings previously acquired by Page Six, Jolie, 47, claimed that Pitt, 58, “choked one of the children and punched another in the face” during an argument that occurred as the family was driving from France to California. The “Maleficent” actress said that her ex-husband “grabbed” her “by the head and shook her” in the complaint.

In 2016, the FBI looked into allegations of child abuse against Pitt. Jolie provided images of the injuries she said she received as a consequence of the purported attack by the “Fury” actor to the federal authorities. Images appeared to reveal injuries to the hand, back, and elbow of the “Salt” actor. However, according to court documents acquired by Page Six, officials decided there was no need to press charges against Pitt because of “several issues.”

The FBI agent who looked into the claims, according to Jolie, had “probable cause to prosecute Pitt with a federal felony for his actions that day.” Pitt, meanwhile, made an effort to change his life in 2019 by becoming sober. According to sources close to the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actress, Jolie’s “rehashed” accusations are an effort to drive a wedge between her and the father of her six children. Formerly married in August 2014, the pair has five children: Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, Vivienne, 14, and Knox, 14.

Additionally, the sources informed the publication that despite having “zero” bearing on the lawsuit, Jolie described the abuse claims in “great detail” in her countersuit. The application was submitted in response to a different case Pitt had brought against Jolie over the sale of her share of their French château months earlier.

The “Tomb Raider” actress claimed in the documents that Pitt attempted to persuade her to sign a non-disclosure agreement as a condition of their agreement regarding the sale of Château Miraval and its lucrative vineyard to silence her regarding the alleged “physical and emotional abuse of her and their children,” but she refused.
