The Bad Guys, a brand-new DreamWorks animated film that hit theatres earlier this year, will soon leave Peacock. It will be among the first batch of movies to be added to Netflix as part of recently finalised animation agreements in the US. When will The Bad Guys be available on Netflix? The new animated film from director Pierre Perifel is scheduled for release in the United States in late April (other territories saw it shown in theatres through March and early April). It is based on the Aaron Blabey children’s book with illustrations. Sam Rockwell, Craig Robinson, Marc Maron, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina are among the voice actors in the film.
When will The Bad Guys be available on Netflix?
According to the agreement, Netflix US will have a portion of the pay-1 window. That window is 18 months long and begins 45 days following the film’s theatrical premiere. The theatrical window for The Bad Guys was, in fact, 70 days long, implying that it will arrive on Netflix a little later than previously anticipated. The Bad Guys will now be available on Netflix in the United States on November 1st, 2022. The following is The Bad Guys’ entire pay-1 release schedule:
Theatrical release window: April 22nd – July 1st, 2022
Peacock Window 1: July 1st – October 31st, 2022
Netflix Window 1: November 1st, 2022 – September 1st, 2023
Peacock Window 2: September 1st – January 1st, 2024
Netflix is also likely to receive the film again in the second window in 2026, though this has yet to be verified. Unfortunately, we don’t know what Dreamworks and Illumination titles will be released outside of the United States. As a result, don’t expect to be streaming The Bad Guys like the rest of the world by the end of 2022. Dreamworks films often do not arrive on Netflix UK until two years following their theatrical launch (as with the case for Trolls: World Tour). If that’s the case with this film, you won’t be able to see it until 2024. Many Netflix areas, including Canada, Latin America, and a few others, received 2019’s Abominable early in 2022. If this is the case for The Bad Guys in these regions, it will not be accessible until late 2024/2025.
