When Squid Game launched on Netflix in September 2021, it created history. The South Korean survival drama TV programme overtook Bridgerton to break the record for most viewers ever for the streaming site, a title it still retains today. In Squid Game, 456 participants compete in a game where they must play dangerous children’s games while having money difficulties in order to earn the top reward. Six of the 14 Emmy Awards that the show was nominated for—including Outstanding Lead Actor for Lee Jung-Jae and Outstanding Director for Hwang Dong-hyuk—were given to the show.
Now that October has arrived, it seems like the ideal moment to speculate about Squid Game season 2.
Of course, it would be good to learn more about the upcoming season as soon as possible. Of course, whether or not we do that is a completely separate matter. There are numerous factors that must be taken into consideration before a streaming service.
The first thing to note is that Squid Game season 2 filming won’t begin for quite some time, so if you’re Netflix, hastily moving things ahead is one of the last things you should be doing right now. They presumably understand that if they make an announcement now, there’s a strong probability that no one will remember it in a few months, so they won’t make a premiere date announcement that they could have to amend later. The way you sell your products must be clever
We don’t believe the streaming service will move things ahead quickly in this case; instead, we believe they will let the creative process advance naturally. The beginning of 2024 is the earliest we anticipate the show returning, and that prediction is based on remarks and quotations from those involved. If we’re lucky, we might learn a little bit more about what’s to come in December or at the start of next year. Beyond that, there is no justification for having unreasonable expectations.
