The trailer for Connect, which was just released on Disney+ Korea, was created by renowned Japanese director Takashi Miike, best known for the 1999 horror film Audition, which is frequently regarded as one of the most unsettling movies ever made. The new crime drama is based on the gripping Shin Dae-Sung webtoon of the same name.

The Connect trailer gives viewers a taste of a story that is significantly darker than what they are used to from The Mouse; the action even starts with a tense close-up of blood droplets being moved by vibrations in the foreground. In the movie Connect, a man is abducted by a group of organ thieves who take one of his eyeballs. The unwilling donor, who had his lost eye transplanted into the body of a serial murderer, is now able to see and is subjected to terrible images, making him a witness to the horrifying assaults on Seoul’s citizens.

The Studio Dragon-produced series, which was first revealed by Variety, would have six segments, each lasting 45 minutes. Earlier than being announced as a Star Original on the Disney+ streaming platform in Korea, the show will play in Busan on October 6 to 7. The main character, Ha Dong-soo, is portrayed by Jung Hae-in, who awakens to discover that his eye is missing but who secretly possesses the power to instantly heal any wound, no matter how serious.

Ko Kyung-po will play Oh Jin-seop, the main antagonist and the serial killer tormenting Seoul’s citizens, in the next series. The Connect cast also includes Kim Hye-jun, who plays the intriguing female lead Irang. Connect is the latest Korean original series to be made available on Disney+, joining titles like Rookie Cops, Grid, and even Snowdrop. Even though Connect will be available on Disney+ Korea, it is not yet known if the popular streaming service would make the series available in other nations.
