Despicable Me 4 is the upcoming fourth installment in the Despicable Me film series and an upcoming sequel to 2017’s Despicable Me 3. Many ‘Despicable Me’ fans are eagerly awaiting more material after the great success of ‘Minions: Rise of Gru. The sixth overall instalment in the franchise, fronted by Steve Carrell as Gru once more. The release date for Despicable Me 4 in theatres is set for July 3, 2024. The fifth instalment of the series, “Minions: Rise of Gru,” had a hugely successful four-day opening weekend with a domestic revenue of $125.2 million.

It has been revealed that Miranda Cosgrove, who plays Gru and Lucy’s oldest adopted daughter Margo, and Kristen Wiig, who plays Gru’s wife Lucy Wilde, will be reprising their roles. Steve Coogan, on the other hand, has also been confirmed to return, however it is unclear who he will play. He provided the voices for Fritz, Dru’s butler, and the former Anti-Villain League director. The Minions will once more be portrayed by Pierre Coffin. It’s unclear if Julie Andrews will reprise her role as Gru’s mother.

There is nothing we can infer about Despicable Me 4 from Minions: The Rise of Gru because it takes place before the first Despicable Me film. Returning to Despicable Me 3, the third instalment ended with Gru and Lucy rejoining the Anti-Villain League and their family growing to include Dru, Gru’s twin brother who is now in control of the Minions.
