When Morpheus was being led to Lucifer in episode four, he came across his ex-girlfriend Nada imprisoned in Hell. This brief side plot was not really discussed again in season one and lasted only a minute or so. Having saying that, this sequence establishes a plot point that season two will undoubtedly develop. Tales in the Sand takes place in an African city called Nada. She’s never managed to find love. But when she briefly crosses paths with a stranger, she falls in love with him right away and finds it difficult to fall asleep. However, she discovers the man has vanished the following morning and begins looking for him.
Nada eventually understands that Dream of the Endless, the man she lusted after, is also in love with her.
The sun destroys Nada’s glass city after realising that Dream had fallen in love with a human. Nada commits suicide and enters the world of the dead out of guilt. Morpheus meets her there and invites her to be his queen, but she declines. He thus sends her to Hell for all time. The love story in Tales in the Sand has a tragic conclusion. Additionally, Dream has had other failed relationships. He is awful at forming relationships.
Season of Mists is one possible plot line for The Sandman Season 2
A gathering of the Endless family kicks off one of the most well-known tales from the whole comic span. Except for Destruction, who is a different story altogether, this will be the first time we get to see the entire family together. Remember that only four of the seven elements have been introduced to us thus far: Dream (Tom Sturridge), Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), Desire (Mason Alexander Park), and Despair (Donna Preston).
